Background

Ki Drayson grew up as an orphan on a backwater planet by the name of Dargon Five. Mostly a dessert planet save for a decent amount of mountains so it didn’t offer much in anything save for a some mining and even then that died out ten years ago. The main biz on the planet was crime, which was a criminals delight and hole in the wall for lying low till the heat went away.

At the age of ten he left the dust ball by sneaking aboard on a cargo ship then becoming part of her crew as payment for being a stowaway. Then over the next two years he drifted from planet to planet taking jobs on ships as part of the crew. However, that all changed when he signed of the Deuce, a Kuat Drive Yards Space Master medium transport. For three years life was good on the Deuce the pay was good, food, a room to Himself, and even got to command the nightshift several times. Ki had the time of his life till eight weeks ago till the former Captain Deuce Mclar lost the ship in a Sabacc game to a crime boss by the name of Gothar Naris, a male Twilek. That very evening he won the ship he came aboard with thirty gunmen, his personal cluster of play things and so-called friends, ten mechanics, one hundred slaves, two hundred ten metric tons of cargo, and his personal belongings. From the get go the mechanics upgraded key systems mainly being the life support, the other systems being the hyperdrive, along with reconfiguring the interior of the vessel to suit his likes.

This didn’t go well with Captain Mclar whom found him self looking down the end of a blaster so he backed off and did what he was told. That changed five days into hyperspace when the captain was shot along with two other crewmembers on the bridge for voicing their opinions to the new ships owner. Then a few days later the rest of the crew dropped the ship out of hyperspace and tried to escape via an escape pod but alas that failed also for they were blasted to bits by the ships laser cannons. Luckily or unluckily Ki got into a brief fire fight with a few of the guards which he barely escaped with his life via a few access tunnels after killing three guards. Ki wished he died with the rest of the crew on the escape pod but that didn’t matter for what he had to do now was get revenge for those he treated like family and in turn treated him as family. His mind was made up to take over the ship or die trying or even possibly becoming a slave even possibly and indentured servant for his knowledge of the vessel.

So he made his way to engineering via the access tunnels then slipped in with somewhat cat like grace which was more like that of trampling bantha. After killing the guard on duty there he preceded to shutdown the bulkheads to all the sections then preceded to space all of the sections save for engineering, the slave hold and the section where Gothar was in. After several minutes and many screams late all of Gothars men were dead save for the few that were in his section. With the process complete he sealed the sections from the coldness of space then reactivated the life support after which Ki proceeded to Gothars section. The Hunt for Gothar took roughly an hour in the secured section with several shots being fired from both sides but the only shots that really mattered in the end were the five that killed Gothars men and the two in Gothars back from Ki’s blaster. From that moment on Ki owned the Deuce, but alas at a heavy price in blood and his own soul.

Over the next few days Ki hauled the dead carcasses of Gothars people totaling sixty cold bodies plus Gothar making it sixty-one. After stripping the bodies of anything that could be of use and storing them in stowage. Ki opened the hold and spaced the bodies into the inky blackness of space before heading back into hyperspace to the closest colonized planet, which was seven days away. Once Ki sent down the Deuce onto the planet he sold twenty tons of cargo which the Captain had in the hold for thousand creds a ton then he let the all of the slaves go with two hundred creds each along with the best apology he could give them for what had happened. After all the slaves had disembarked Ki blasted off that piece of rock and headed towards the outer rim.

But now it’s the present and Ki sold the Deuce and her cargo for a hefty million creds. Which he found out it doesn’t last long when your spending it like there was no tomorrow just so that he could forget what happened over the last few weeks. He’s not sure why he stopped or when he stopped but he’s sure it had something to do with the Gthroc Industries Class 720 freighter he found one night while on a binge. Sure she wasn’t the prettiest ship out there but for some reason after looking at her everything fell into place. It was like he was reborn from the ashes like a fiery phoenix. A roughish smile crept across his face as he walked closer towards the ship and listened to owner of the vessel saying how she was a good ship and such. Everything the owner said went out one ear and through the other as Ki pulled out his credstick and keyed in five times price the former owner wanted.

Over the next two days Ki poured in sixty thousand creds into the vessel he now called KumoRyo. While he did the repairs himself he had new equipment and clothes custom made to complete the change do to something he remembered an old Cerean say “One must learn to flow like water through the ebbs of change.” Who stayed on the Deuce for few months about two years back. However, the Cereans name escaped Ki’s mind. Now with a new ship, and out look on life Ki’s ready to get back into the saddle again.

Over the next two years Ki hauled legal cargo ranging from medical, raw materials, grain, livestock and various other legal items. He also did some work with a couple mercenary units getting them from point A to point B and back in one piece. However two things which really stick out in Ki’s mind is working for an outlaw tech by the name of Dara, a human, and dealing with Gothar Naris sister Klia.

The time Ki spent with the outlaw tech and her crew allowed him to upgrade several of the ships systems on the Kumoryo. Along with giving her a paint job which makes the ship look likes it been thru several asteroid storms, a few fire fights and such at a distance but up close and personal one can tell its just playing of the shadows and the paint. Plus a few other upgrades here and there.

The situation between Ki and Klia Naris came to a head just by chance at Fort Divin on Ord Antalaha. Klia became a crime boss onto herself by smuggling and gambling, along with running legal cargo via a small fleet of five tramp freighters. She found out that Ki whom she knew had something to do with her brothers disappearance but to what extent she wasn’t sure. Also the three bounty hunters she sent out after him over the span of the last year and half all came back with the same tale on how Ki some how managed to get the upper hand on them and capture them. Plus he let the hunters go with two thousand credits each and told them to inform her to drop the bounty on him. Even with that being known along with the rules on Ord Antalaha Klia gathered up her boys and headed towards the landing bay where Ki was to get some answers and vengeance.

However, things didn’t go as planned. She didn’t figure Ki would have already picked up new cargo and passengers. Especially a merc buddy by the name of Mezzel, a Sullustan, along with a dozen mercenaries who didn’t mind using Ki’s ships weapons to get the drop on her and her men. Instead of gunning her down in cold blood Ki took Klias blaster, pulled out the energy cell then put the weapon in his belt. He then pulled out his blaster and did the same. Draining both of the cells so that they had only one charge left he placed them back into their respective weapons. Once done he showed the number of charges left in the blasters to a few of her men and a few of the mercs who were now outside of his ship, then finally to Klia. After which he gave her back her blaster and said “Lets end this now! Yes, I killed your brother and his mob but they killed my shipmates in cold blood. As for the ship he cheated my former captain out of it during a game of Sabacc. You might find it but I sold it along with her cargo and the slaves that your brother brought on board. Well they’ve been set free.” Ki stated through narrow eyes then as a roguish grin creped across his face he continued to speak. “So here’s the gambit; we stand back to back then at the count of three we walk ten paces, turn and shoot. Whoever is left standing wins and there’s no retribution from either side afterward, oh and if you win you get my ship but you’ll have to complete my run at the agreed pay.”

With the terms being agreed upon they proceeded to the dual. At the count of three they walked tens paces and turned. Kila turned and brought up her blaster just as Ki was completing his half turn to face her then a blazing blue blot streaked from her blaster. Time for Ki seemed to stand still as he saw the bolt come at him. Then, at the last second, time sped up just as the blot streaked past him narrowly missing his right side. The shot continued on to slam into his ship. Drayson grimaced from the sound as his index finger slowly started to pull back the trigger on his leveled blaster so that he would end Klia’s life in one shot. But it never came to that for he shook his head slightly then lowered his blaster and fired the shot into the ground next to him “It’s over!” He said as he slid his blaster into his holster “What happened then is then, this is the now. So if you need a pilot look me up.” He said with a roughish smile then turned towards his ship and proceeded up the ramp.

Ki has since regained (with some help from Quintan) some of his latent Jedi abilities, that of Sense.

Also of note is the fact that he has now met the real Ki Drayson. This places doubt on his history only because he has discovered he is clone and the memories that he has could have been implanted. There is only one way to find out...

Physical Description: Eyes: Jade Green. Hair: Dishwater Brown now dyed purple. Ki wears light brown pants with red pipping down the sides of the legs, a light brown long sleeve shirt, midnight black riding boots, his utility/gun belt is midnight black in color and is slung low on the right so he can get the quickdraw. He also wears a dark brown leather jacket and a midnight black ball cap on his head all of which together make him look like he's wearing a uniform which does have its advantages sometimes. Ki also wears his hair short almost like that of a military cut.

Personality: Ki is pretty much out going but serious when he needs to be. He does have force powers, however the powers are more subconscious than anything. Meaning once he gets formal training he'll be able to use the powers at will but for now his powers are just odd quirks. Example: if he walks away and someone says something in a hushed tone to another so he can't hear. He will most likely say I heard that.
