The Proton is known to be a very powerful weapon, leading to its restriction from civilian purchasers, and shares more in common with a speeder laser cannon than traditional blaster rifles. Although it has a very restrictive ammunition capacity, the weapon is still used widely across the galaxy by armed forces, who love the fact that this simple and easily portable weapon can destroy many speeders, and even light walkers with a single shot, and sales of this single weapon have made Terranon Blaster Technologies into a multi million credit organization. ![]() |
Item #2: July Bloodfury Speeder Bike Craft: Sienar Bloodfury Military Speeder Bike Type: Speeder Bike Scale: Speeder Length: 2.9 meters Skill: Repulsorlift Ops: Speeder Bike Crew: 1 Passengers: 0 Cargo Capacity: 50kg Cover: 1/4 Altitude Range: Ground level-15m Cost: 2400 used only Maneuverability: 2D+2 Move: 200; 250kmh Body Strength: 3D+1 Weapons: Twin Laser Cannons Fire Arc: Front Skill: Vehicle Blasters Fire Control: 2D Range: 3-50/120/250 Damage: 6D Description: The Bloodfury is an upgrade of the Bloodfin Speeder Bike also from Sienar, after the Bloodfin failed to attract the military sales it was originally designed for, and with upcoming large purchases for the Clone Troopers, and later Storm Trooper armies, Sienar redesigned the Bloodfin into a real military speeder bike. With twin laser cannons capable of doing significant damage to a target, the already high speed of the Bloodfin and additional armour and manueverability, the Bloodfury made a very powerful combat bike. However the high cost and difficulty to manufacture in the quantities required for the Clone Troopers meant that the design lost out on this lucrative contract to Aratechs design. The Bloodfury was sold to other military purchasers in limited quantities before the design was eventually dropped, these few bikes have continued to retain a high value and are considered to be among the best speeder bikes available, even if they are becoming increasingly hard to acquire parts for. ![]() |
Item #3: August Evakmar Docking Station Type: Evakmar Orbital Docking Station Scale: Capitol Length: 350m square Crew: 600 Passengers: 1,000 Cargo Capacity: 20,000 Tons Consumables: 1 Year Cost: 1,200,000 Hull: 4D Shields: 3D Sensors Passive: 200/1D Scan: 500/3D Search: 800/5D Focus: 5/6D Fighters: 12 Shuttles: 8 Weapons: 12 Twin Laser Cannon Turrets Fire Arc: Turret Scale: Starfighter Fire Control: 1D Space: 1-3/12/25 Atmosphere Range: 100-300/1.2/2.5km Damage: 4D 8 Tractor Beams Fire Arc: 2 Front, 2 Back, 2 Left, 2 Right Scale: Capital Fire Control: 3D Space Range: 1-5/15/30 Planetary Range: 2-10/30/60 Km Damage: 3D Description: The Evakmar Docking Platform is common throughout the galaxy, using its tractor beams to handle cargo in the holding yards and its laser cannons to protect the cargo against raiders. They are cheap compared to other space platforms, something that accounts for the large numbers sold, although the cheapness of the stations construction shows to its occupants in the sparseness of its fittings. The majority of the inside of these stations is taken up with hangar and cargo bays, but there is still plenty of room for ship crews to enjoy a short amount of off duty time and some space is given over to small shops and recreation areas. However these stations also have decent sized security sections where captured raiders and thieves can be put until transfer is arranged by the authorities. ![]() |
Item #4: August Tagge Industries Z-X3 Battle Droid Dexterity 2D: Blaster 7D+1, Dodge 6D+1 Knowledge 1D: Mechanical 1D: Perception 1D: Strength 3D+2 (+2D): Technical 1D: Equipped with: 2x Blaster Cannons (Range 5-50/120/300, Damage 5D) 2x Flame Cannons (Range 1-5/7/15, Damage 6D) Two visual and two auditory sensors - Infra Red Vision Armor Plating (+2D) Move: 11 Size: 1.8 meters tall Cost: (available only on the black market) 14,500 Description: Created by a secret subset of Tagge Industries, the L8-L9 was a prototype battle droid meant to possibly serve as infantry in environments too hostile for the Republic's clone troopers. An unsolicited project, it was the brainchild of young Baron Orman Tagge, a prodigious technocrat that sought to further ingratiate himself with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's government. He led the experimental automated trooper project and planned to secretly test it under extreme conditions. He kept it secret for several reasons -- on a practical level; battle droid development had been restricted following the fallout of the Battle of Naboo. Contacts within the House of Tagge uncovered Rattatak, and Tagge ordered the L8-L9 to be tested there. L8-L9 was a humanoid droid with advanced servomotors and equilibrium centers that gave it increased agility compared to most battle droids of the era. Its arms contained plasma cannons and flamethrowers giving it built-in heavy firepower. The L8-L9 proved to be a failure, having been destroyed by Asajj Ventress. Tagge didn't abandon the idea, though, and following the rise of the Empire, he commissioned the Z-X3 project as a possible supplement to Imperial Stormtrooper ranks. ![]() |
Item #5: September Scarab Droid Dexterity 3D: Dodge 4D, Melee Combat: Injectors 6D Perception 4D: search: tracking 5D, sneak 5D Strength 1D: Knowledge 1D: Mechanical 1D: sensors 5D Technical 0D: first aid 4D Move: 6/10 (jump) Size: .05 Cost: 1000+ (based on model) Sensors: Passive: 100/1D Scan: 50/1D+1 Search: 80/2D Equipment: -Heat detectors -pheromone sniffers -biorhythm analyzers Description: Professional assassins know that stealth can be just as potent a weapon as a dart shooter or a sniper rifle. This was the simple principle behind scarab droids. Tiny, quiet and unobtrusive, the insectile destroyers can locate and terminate a slumbering target without the victim ever stirring from a peaceful afternoon nap. Most household security systems aren't focused enough to detect the minuscule killers, and when they do, they are often misidentified as harmless garden beetles. Only in the last few decades has electronic miniaturization progressed to levels where scarab droids were practical. Since the covert assassins were also highly illegal, Sienar Intelligence Systems furtively developed them in their top-secret Black Ops laboratories. When perfected, the entire line was sold under-the-table to the assassination branch of Imperial Intelligence. Many "enemies of the Empire' soon felt the sharp sting of their needle fangs… and very little after that. All scarab droids can fit comfortably in the palm of one hand. Collectively, there were eighteen varieties of scarab, each with a different configuration of weapons and appendages. The later generations, in particular, tended to be gruesomely nasty, sporting spines, claws, and flesh-eating shredders. The simpler Scarab Mark VI posted the best kill ratio and was the most widely produced of the various models. Each Mark VI possesses a compact body, six jointed legs, and a hard head tipped with poison injectors. These piercing fangs connect to a small internal reservoir filled with fast-acting nerve toxins or hallucinogenic stimulants. In a notorious incident on Coruscant, one of Emperor Palpatine's senatorial critics abruptly appeared on the roof of the Imperial Bank and shrieked that he was being chased by a flame-eyed, snake-tongued Rodian batwing. He then plunged two hundred and seventy stories to his death. The newsnets called it stress; those in the know recognized scarab-induced dementia. Scarabs have specialized sensors to aid in locating their quarry. High-gain photoreceptors are keyed to work efficiently under dim lighting conditions. Heat detectors, pheromone sniffers, and biorhythm analyzers ensure that the droids make a positive ID on their quarry before beginning their evil work. In human subjects, the prime target area is the soft neck skin just above the carotid artery. For maximum secrecy, a single scarab works best. But a swarm of scarabs has its advantages in case something goes wrong-even a fully alert subject will find it difficult to exterminate a dozen or more of the skittering beetles without suffering a fatal bite. ![]() ![]() |
Item #6: October Zephyr-G Swoop Craft: Mobquet Swoops and Speeders Zephyr-G Swoop Type: Swoop Scale: Speeder Length: 3.68m Skill: Swoop operation: Zephyr-G Crew: 1 Passengers: 0 Cargo Capacity: 35kg Cover: 1/4 Altitude Range: Ground level-20m Cost: 750 (used) Maneuverability: 2D+1 Move: 125; 350kmh Body Strength: 3D+1 Weapons: none Description: The Zephyr-G is a utility Swoop by the Mobquet manufacturing company, designed as a practical cheap alternative for Speeder Bikes, however the difficulty in controlling these powerful bikes has led to them being outlawed on most civilised worlds. Although this has meant a lack of new models and spare parts, the Zephyr-G is still common on backwater planets, where its speed and reliability makes it a popular choice for not only the racing and gang scenes, but also for everyday work on farms and the like where it may be necessary to cover large distances as quickly as possible. The Zephyr-G while not as popular as the Flare-S, still manages to be common throughout the frontier, and the low failure rate on parts means that these rugged vehicles last for years without repairs even on some of the most hostile of planets. ![]() |
Item #7: October Beam Laser Cannon Model: SoroSuub SLX-445 Beam Laser Cannon Scale: Speeder Skill: Blaster; Repeating Blaster Ammo: 50 Cost: 4,500 Availability: 2, X Range: 5-50/100/500 Fire Rate: 1 Damage: 5D * *: If the SLX-445 is held on target for repeated rounds its damage increases by 1D for each round, until it reaches a maximum of 10D. This means that if the user manages to score a hit each round, the SLX-445 will do 5D in the first round, 6D the second round, until the fifth round when it does 10D. Description: The SoroSuub SLX-445 is a heavy laser cannon designed to be used as a pintile mount on a speeder, or as a tripod mounted weapon, however it remains light enough to be used by a single man. Capable of taking out speeders, repulsor tanks and light walkers, the SLX-445 is unique in that it can be fired as a sustained beam, creating greater damage as it is held on target. The sustained beam of the SLX-445 makes the weapon somewhat easier to target than a weapon of its bulk would normally be, but this speeder scale weapon still is not easy to target upon human sized targets and is far more suited to taking out vehicles. ![]() |

The age of this vessel however stands against it as a combat vessel with it lacking as many weapons, as much drive power and as powerful shields as the newer Corellian Corvette. However the correspondingly lower price makes it popular with free traders and those interested in piracy and privateering, making it a competitor for Bulk Transports which have larger cargo holds but are much weaker in combat. Y-Head's are common throughout the galaxy, and are seen widely plying the space lanes in a variety of roles with a variety of modifications. ![]() |
Item #9: November Luxury Attendant Droid Type: LeisureMech Enterprises BD-3000 Luxury Attendant Droid Dexterity 1D: Perception 1D: Bargain 4D Strength 1D: Knowledge 4D: Bureaucracy 5D, Cultures 6D, Languages 7D, Value 5D Mechanical 1D: Repulsorlift Ops 4D Technical 2D: Childcare 6D, Cooking 5D, First Aid 5D, Tailoring 6D, Equipment: -Humanoid Body (two arms, two legs, head) -Two visual and two auditory sensors - human range -Vocabulator sound system with settings from Perky to Sultry -Liguistic Database with over 1.5 million languages Move: 10 Size: 1.7 meters Cost: 25,000 (new), 15,500 (used) Description: Wherever Senators congregate, their mechanical attendants follow. While the look of the politicians representing the worlds of the galaxy varies greatly, their droids are often surprisingly uniform. Droid manufacturers and distributors on Coruscant sell their wares in huge numbers to the Senate politicians, resulting in some very commonly encountered models. While the standard humanoid protocol droid is a bestseller, the BD-3000 luxury attendant droid has been rapidly growing in popularity. Its chromed finish, smooth surfaces and eye- pleasing shape make it standout, whether in the halls of the Senate chambers, or the polished corridors of the Galaxies Opera House. Manufactured by LeisureMech Enterprises, a design firm based out of the Corporate Sector, the BD-3000 is, for the most part, a triumph of style over substance. While the luxury droid's processors and software packages make it a capable and versatile business attendant, such features are not what drive its 25,000-credit manufacturer's suggested retail price. It's the gleam of its finish, the curve of its sculpt and the walk-cycle programmed into its gyro balance circuitry that droid review journals routinely cite as cause for its demand. The BD-3000 has a capable language processor and linguistic database. While it pales in comparison to the AA-1 VerboBrain found in Cybot Galactica protocol droids, it is nonetheless capable of translating over 1.5 million forms of communication. Its vocabulator system can produce a wide variety of sounds and voices, including a number of popular feminine factory pre-sets with such descriptions as "perky" and "sultry." The BD-3000 comes with an extensively engineered behavioral circuitry matrix that gives it a wide variety of personality types. In addition to its business administration programming, the standard BD-3000 comes equipped to handle over 25 secondary functions, including repulsorlift pilot, cook, tailor and nanny. Expansion slots in both hardware and software allow the BD-3000 to be fitted with combat applications, and some have been known to be reprogrammed as covert bodyguard droids, though LeisureMech does not support such modifications. Much to the chagrin of LeisureMech publicists, BD-3000 droids have also proven popular in the criminal underworld, where unlicensed aftermarket add-ons -- such as a set of fully articulated lekku -- have seen the droids flourish in far seedier roles than originally intended. ![]() |

Item #16: February Holowan Mechanicals Electrostaff Type: Melee Weapon Skill: Melee combat: electrostaff Cost: 1500 Availability: 3, R Difficulty: Moderate Damage: STR+2D, or STR+3D vs. droids Description: Given to General Grievous' MagnaGuards as their weapon of choice, the electrostaff is a dangerous object in the hands of a proficient wielder. Constructed of the expensive phrik alloy and equipped with electromagnetic pulse generators, the electrostaff can penetrate personal shields and stand up to attacks from a lightsaber. Moreover, with two electromagnetically-charged tips, the electrostaff can induce numbness and light stuns in organic matter, knocking an opponent off-balance. Against droids, the electromagnetic pulses coursing through the weapon can disrupt circuits and break delicate machinery, making them a threat to all targets ranging from Jedi to droids. For this reason, General Grievous selected the electrostaff for his bodyguards in order to protect himself from any who would dare to challenge him. Game Notes: By making the Moderate difficulty roll for both attacks, a character wielding this weapon may make 2 attacks without suffering the multiple action penalty. Additionally, any character damaged by an electrostaff suffers a -1D penalty to all attack rolls and Strength and Dexterity-based skill checks for one round. Range: Transmits data up to 100 light years to base/mothership Weapons: Self Destruct Scale: Starfighter Fire Arc: All Fire Control: 0D Range: 2 Damage: 3D Description: A Sensor buoy is an extremely helpful and important item of equipment for starships which operate in the deep space. These tiny objects can be launched from the mother ship and then transmit every piece of information caught by its sensors back to the mother ship. Transmissions can be received by the mother ship up to a distance of more than 100 light years, depending on the size and quality of the buoy. Sensor buoys are also used to mark the path through space of the mother ship to help following ships in locating and assisting the sensor ship. Due to the stealth technology on the buoys, they are barely detectable by enemy vessels. A well-known example of sensor buoys is a co-production by Myskeler & Gorlan Star Drives and Hiad Engineering. It is a very reliable buoy of high quality. It looks like turned round truncated cone, bristling with antennas and other sensor technology. Its energy cells keep the buoy active for about ten years, while small maneuvering jets guarantee the bouy will remain in the optimal position. In the case that enemy forces should somehow discover the buoy despite its sensor stealth and try to steal the collected information of the buoy, a self-destruct charge is activated to prevent the information of falling into the wrong hands. ![]() |

Item #24: May/June/July Andrali-Tech's Low Profile Comm System Type: 2LP Comlink Skill: Communications: Comlink, Difficulty: Moderate Weight: .002 kg Cost: 150, Booster cost: 100 Availability: 2,F Game Notes: In order to purchase this piece of equipment, a bounty hunter's or an investigator's license must be presented, and appropriate fees must be paid. Each unit has a range of 15 kilometers without the additional booster (range of 60 km, and surface to orbit capable with the booster). Very Difficult to see with a passive Search attempt. Active searches are reduced to Difficult. An active sensor search has a difficulty of Difficult as well. Every unit must be custom made for proper fit, color and texture. Description: Consists of a tiny comlink set, made up of a very small earpiece receiver and transmitter, and a "dot" mic with an adhesive bottom. The mic can be placed on most surfaces and be relied upon to stick for up to six hours; if properly used/placed, it can easily be mistaken for a person's mole. Due to the size of the mic, it cannot relay to the earpiece transceiver from a distance of more than 5m. The entire unit is rather useful for bodyguards and security personnel who are attempting to retain a low profile; the unit is very hard to discover with a visual scan, and is rather difficult to detect with sensor scans as well, as it has a low power output & range. The unit can broadcast in many different bandwidths, and can be easily modified for transmission encoding. Also, a small signal booster can be added to the unit, effectively quadrupling its transmission range, and giving it surface-to-orbit capabilities. The signal booster is roughly the size of a small datapad. ![]() |

Item #37: September/October TerexComm Gauntlet-Computer Type: Portable computer workstation Scale: Character Skill: Depends on model, see Game Notes Weight: 1-3 kg Cost: 75-250 credits, depending on model Availability: 1 (can differ depending on model's resources) Description: Originally developed by the Amtech Consortium shortly before its collapse, Gauntlet-Comps were designed to replace the dataslate and datapad as the primary means of computing. Worn over the forearm and hands, all gauntlets feature touch-pads on the upper forearm and on the palm, a thinscreen on the back of the hand, holographic projection technology, and various jacks for connecting the gauntlet to a computer interface mechanism much in the same manner as utilized by R2 units. Unfortunately, the gauntlets were disliked for a variety of reasons, many of which were founded on rumor; the most popular misconception of the time was that the concentrated radiation often led to cancer of the arm - this was later proved to be a rumor planted by one of Amtech's most prominent competitors. Although Amtech dissolved decades ago, the Gauntlet-Comp has made a recent reappearance with the purchase of the license by TerexComm. Hoping to create a new market for the Gauntlet-Comp, TerexComm has unleashed a marketing blitz unseen in modern times, focusing on the younger generation. It is curious to note that the best market so far is suspected slicers. Game Notes: Gauntlet-Comps come in a variety of different models, each with a different role. Below are some examples; GM should be final arbiter about whether a Gauntlet-Comp can or cannot accomplish a goal. Select Variations: Standard Gauntlet: Is a standard datapad with holographic projection capability, minimal computer interface, and communications link-up. Combines best elements of a comlink, holonet capable computer, and digital holocam. Science-Gauntlet: The favored gauntlet of scouts and explorers, this item is specifically designed to scan local environments for hostile radiations, odd combinations in the atmosphere, unusual geographic circumstances, and the like. Medical-Gauntlet: An Easy sensors roll will provide basic readouts relating to the patient's overall physical status. A Moderate sensors roll is required to scan for specific injuries or ailments. Following this scan, the Med-Gauntlet will provide a recommendation for treatment that grants a +1D to any First Aid rolls. GM may adjust sensor difficulties depending on injury, ailment or other unusual condition. Slicer-Gauntlet: Allows Slicer remote access to most standard computer systems. Generally grants a +1D to computer programming/repair rolls, although this can be modified by the actual system or hardware. This gauntlet is always illegal. Shipboard-Gauntlet: A new type of Gauntlet-Comp, this item is beginning to appear on tramp freighters and naval ships alike. If the Ship-Gauntlet has remote access to the datacore of a starship, it can be used to diagnose system malfunctions and damage. An Easy sensors roll will provide basic readouts relating to damage. A Moderate sensors roll is required to isolate specific malfunctions and/or damage. The Gauntlet will further provide a recommendation as to the repair that grants a +1D to Repair skills. Of course, if the ship has been radically upgraded or altered, the Gauntlet may actually provide a penalty to Repair rolls depending upon the GMs discretion. And of course, there are some Gauntlets that have been modified to remote-pilot ships... ![]() |
