Description:
The Zintilu are a relatively primitive species that evolved from feline ancestors with some notable differences. Their homeworld is slightly heavier than galactic norm (1.4G) and covered with thick jungles, which forced them to rely more on their senses of hearing and smell. There are very few things in the galaxy that can sneak up on a prepared Zintilu as they possess amazing audial recognition.

Physically imposing, male Zintilu stand an average of 20 to 30 centimeters taller than Human norm and are solidly built with thick slabs of muscle. Their hands and feet end in 4 digits that are proportionally large; razor-sharp claws that can be retracted at will tip their fingers and make deadly weapons.

Zintilu females, who dominate the matriarchal society, give birth to litters of 1 to 4 infants at a time. Given their ancestry, it is unsurprising that the children are capable at birth.

Both sexes possess surprisingly strong jaw muscles, although such an evolutionary development is not surprising given their carnivorous appetites. For a Zintilu, the very thought of devouring vegetable matter is revolting, and they are very cautious around species that do so. Having evolved from hunters, they have yet to understand why other sentients find their need to consume raw meat so disgusting.

Special Abilities:
Phosphorous-based: Zintilu are a phosphorous-based species. This species heals much faster than galactic norm; when making checks to heal, a phosphorous-based lifeform adds an additional +1D to Strength. Phosphorous- based species' blood glows fluorescent-green due to oxygen reacting with phosphorous in the blood and they have a high normal body temp (130º+). Creates energy by reacting oxygen with phosphorous in the bloodstream. Requires less oxygen and more Nitrogen than the standard Oxy/Nit mix, treating the standard mix as "high altitude". Also requires a small amount of residual radiation (+2D to resist radiation), and a diet high in phosphorous (phosphorous supplements are usually taken when away from a sufficient food- source). Temp comfort zone at +40º, biology better suited to higher gravities.
Keen Senses: Zintilu rely more on their sense of hearing and smell and can function in perfect darkness without penalty. Further, they gain a bonus of +1D to avoid being surprised.
Natural Armor: Zintilu gain an additional +1D to Strength checks to resist damage due to thick hides.
Claws: Zintilu inflict an additional 1D of damage when brawling.
Bad Sight: Zintilu are extremely near-sighted and suffer a -3D to all actions (including attacks) that require distance vision. This penalty may be negated or modified by GM if the target can be heard.
Primitive: Zintilu suffer a -2D to all checks when using technologically advanced equipment such as blasters.
Paralytic Tongue: Zintilu possess an amazing natural offensive weapon in the form of their tongue. With it, they can make a ranged attack (up to 1 meter away); the Zintilu's skill is effectively his DEX doubled: a character with a 3D DEX rolls 6D. If the target is not aware of this ability, the attacking Zintilu gains an additional +1D to the attack and the target may NOT make a reactive Dodge. If the target is aware of the tongue, he/she may attempt to catch the tongue (a Heroic Melee Combat) or dodge it (a Difficult Dodge).
If the target is struck by the tongue, he/she must make a Str check to resist damage but may not add any bonuses for armor unless it is natural armor; the tongue effectively inflicts 4D stun damage but the duration of the target's unconsciousness is doubled to 4D minutes.
