Description:
Looks very much like a standard human. The only external difference are the eyes, which look as if there is no iris and that it is
enlarged.
As betazoids are members of the Federation, they have the ability to join and become officers. However, they are usually limited
to counselors, but can be trained in any field. As such, a half betazoid can be a standard officer or any other position and have
access to all Federation technology based on officer status and position.
Special Abilities:
Empathy: Half Betazoids have the natural ability to sense emotions of all types. This also
includes the ability to detect if a being is lying or truthful. This ability fuctions similarly to the Jedi powers of Receptive
Telepathy and Projective Telepathy.
Bonding: Telepaths, including half telepaths, have the ability to bond with a chosen mate.
This process takes several days of contact and eventually sets up a telepathic bond allowing the two beings to communicate
telepathically. However, for the connection to work properly, the being connected with should also be a betazoid, but a human or
humanoid can be trained to communicate after the bond is established.
Special Skills:
Betazoid Sense: The half-betazoid gets the ability to block mental Force attacks that would
be harmful. In game terms this allows 1/2 of the Betazoid Sense skill to be added to Willpower to resist the attack.
Languages: All Betazoids have the innate ability to learn languages much easier that a
normal human as they can sense the emotional content of the words being spoken. This translates into the skill becoming a natural
Talent. ie. Knowledge: (T)Languages.
