History:
The planet originally known as Gelefil was an agricultural world between Ingo and Ko Vari. It was one of seven inhabited planets
out of a total of fourteen in the Annoo system of the Nimat Corridor of the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by the
peaceful, long-lived Ret. The planet was later renamed Annoo after it was conquered by the Annoo-dat in about 322 BBY.
Within a century, the Ret adopted Annoo-dat culture and they became a single civilization, both species referring to themselves
as Annoo-dat and to Gelefil as Annoo. To distinguish between the two species, xenobiologists referred to the Ret as Annoo-dat
Blue and the original Annoo-dat as Annoo-dat Prime, however the Annoo-dat did not use such terminology.
The Ret were sapient reptilians, indigenous to Gelefil. They had heavy-lidded eyes and scales which changed colors with their
emotions. They were also long-lived with the average lifespan going into hundreds of years.
Agriculture on Annoo became highly industrialized on the southern continent (the northern continent remaining much as it always
had) and the Tra'ang'a language of the Ret fell out of use, all Annoo-dat speaking Dat-an.
In about 27 BBY, General Ashaar Khorda attempted a bloody coup, but he was defeated by the Galactic Republic forcing him to go
into hiding. (see below fro details)
During the early years of the Galactic Empire, the notorious crime lord, Sise Fromm, had a stronghold on Annoo from where the
Fromm Gang plotted the takeover of the other major gangs. At the same time, Demma Moll and her daughter, Kea, had a farm complex
on the planet and formed a resistance cell in opposition to the Fromms and the Empire.

Ashaar Khorda History:
Ashaar Khorda was an Annoo-Dat General who led a small rebellion on Annoo to overthrow the government using stolen military
forces. The Galactic Republic was able to install their own leader before Khorda could declare himself ruler, and Khorda went
underground. A self-proclaimed freedom fighter against the Republic, General Khorda began searching for the Infant of Shaa, a
relic with enough power to destroy a planet.
General Khorda indirectly hired the bounty hunter Jango Fett to hunt down the Infant, and, with the device in his possession,
Khorda planned to destroy Coruscant. His plans were thwarted, however, by the intervention of Jedi Master Yarael Poof, Zam Wesell
and Fett. In the ensuing struggle, Khorda stabbed Master Poof, and in turn was killed himself by a well-placed shot from the
Mandalorian Jango Fett. The dying Yarael Poof disabled the Infant of Shaa, saving Coruscant.
The Infant of Shaa was a statue carved by the ancient Seylotts to contain a large field of Force energy.

The Infant was a series of two statues built to honor Shaa, the Seylott primary deity. A larger version of the Infant, termed
the Mother, was built to control the dimunitive statue. The statue was closely guarded by the Seylotts, who feared that if the
power of the statue was unleashed, it could destroy an entire world, earning it the name "Destroyer of Worlds".
Shortly before the Clone Wars, General Ashaar Khorda employed Jango Fett to retrieve the statue. Khorda hoped to use the
Infant's power to destroy Coruscant in the upcoming conflict. Fett succeeded in attaining the statue, but was convinced by his
rival and contemporary Zam Wesell to re-steal the statue, this time from Khorda, to save the galactic capital. A last minute
effort by Fett and Wesell saved the Infant from unleashing its power within a central Coruscant power core. Jedi Master Yarael
Poof sacrified himself to contain the fracturing statue and prevent the destruction of Coruscant, and Fett returned the statue
to Seylott for safe keeping.
